Shiatsu Massage
What Is Shiatsu Massage?
Based on ideas in traditional Chinese medicine, Shiatsu Massage therapy is a form of Japanese bodywork. Shiatsu relies on using the fingers, thumbs and palm to apply pressure to various areas of the body’s surface to help heal common ailments and conditions, and correct imbalances in the body. Pressure applied to points on the body promotes energy flow and corrects disharmonies throughout your body.
Benefits of Shiatsu Massage
Shiatsu is used to treat a wide range of chronic conditions, such as headaches, PMS, digestive disorders, fatigue, insomnia, fibromyalgia, stress, anxiety, and musculoskeletal pain, including low back, neck, and joint pain.
Shiatsu massage regulates the automatic nervous system activity and stimulates the circulatory, lymphatic and hormonal systems. Poor posture, joint problems, sprains, arthritis, sciatica, acute and chronic neck and back pain, sinusitis, and bronchitis are treatable with Shiatsu.
Boise Shiatsu Massage Therapist
If you are looking for a massage place near you, I offer deep tissue therapy using Shiatsu Massage. It may complement or substitute for an acupuncture treatment. No oils used. Wear comfortable loose clothing during treatment.
As a Shiatsu massage therapist in Boise, our techniques are rooted in traditional Chinese methods. Like acupuncture, the body has unseen energy pathways, or meridians, along which the body's energy flows.
As a shiatsu practitioner we know these energy pathways as well as the points (called tsuobos in Japanese). Our massage therapy gets the energy flowing smoothly once again.
Our shiatsu session lasts 75 minutes. Call 406-570-8792 for massage specials.
